“Girl Gone Wired” is an online persona/brand I created in 2011, a relative latecomer to the “mommy blogging” world.
I’m a published writer, prize-winning poet, and undiscovered shower stall diva. I’m the mother of three young adults who continue to teach and motivate me to be better every single day. In 2016, I became a grandmother. And let’s not forget the two cats and two dogs who keep us all in line.
I watch “reality” television for its snark potential and play too many app-based games. If I didn’t have teenagers to explain things to me, accompanied by precise eye rolling, I wouldn’t know what the eggplant emoji really means. Chip wagons on downtown side streets are my first sign of spring. I live with the effects of chronic pain and a genetic predisposition to anxiety and depression.
Foremost, I am me, unapologetically.
